Thurs, May 22 - Sasaya

7.16am - yellow watermelon, at home. 8.45am - strawberry protein smoothie from Jamba Juice, on the way to work.

10.18am - fresh apricots and walnuts, at work.

12.36pm - lavender-lemon bar at Surfas Culinary Supplies Store.

12.48pm - tomato-fig panino and side salad at Surfas Culinary Supplies Store, where I'd trekked in search of some veal stock. But that is another story.

19.07h - Yours Truly got a promotion today, so Ritesh took me out to dinner to celebrate. For the record it has to be said that he also took me out to dinner when he himself got a promotion just a little while ago. I am one lucky gal... Thank you, love!
We went to Sasaya, our neighborhood Japanese tapas place/sake bar, where you can buy a bottle, put your name on it, and they'll keep it for you until your next visit.

Sasaya is somewhat of a special occasion place for us, and as our bottle indicated, we hadn't been there since our anniversary last year. This is actually a bottle of shoju, not sake.19.07h - miso soup

19.14h - grilled sting ray fin w/ an aoili soy-chili dipping sauce, my other favorite. Although it took me a long time to get used to the idea of eating sting rays. What amazing creatures.
