11.55am - ... champagne brunch at El Torito in Long Beach, with Ritesh, his mom and dad, Prashant, Suzanne and Suzanne's mom, who's in town from Wisconsin. El Torito is a Mexican buffet kind of place, so this is a random mix of everything: sweet corn cake and rice with chicken, pork, beef and potatoes in four different sauces, plus a not very Mexican breakfast sausage.

12.28pm - buffet plate number 2 - salads
12.30pm - Ritesh's plate w/ taco ingredients - he made me one, what a sweetheart!
12.35pm - desserts: Mexican flan, a coconut macaroon, and some coconut cake.
2.09pm - Post-buffet digestive walk along the beach, with the whole family
2.24pm - Long Beach marina
6.43pm - avocado sandwich w/tomato and olive tapenade, at home
6.58pm - sour redcurrant gummies, at home
