10.20 - key lime fruit & nut bar, at work.

11.57am - pistachios and walnuts w/ some of Cecy's banana chips, at work.

1.35pm - leftover Thai food from Natalee, at work.

6.36pm - idli (white lentil/rice cakes), vada (the fried doughy thingie in front), sambar (veggie stew in back) and coconut chutney at Mayura Kerala South Indian Restaurant, with Ritesh.

6.40pm - chili bhaji, not such a good idea. This is the kind of heavy, fried food that gives Indian cooking a bad name. We had one of these each and gave up.

6.41pm - now this is a different story: This is Rasam, a light South Indian tomato soup w/ tamarind and lots of pepper. Very healthy, very tasty, and one of Ritesh's all time favorites. I wish I could tell you about the rasam-eating contests he would engage in with his cousins, and how he defeated a cousin of about twice his size by gulping down 16 (!) bowls of rasam (granted, they were a lot smaller than this one), but Ritesh vetoed it, so sorry... :)

6.43pm - the rava masala dosa, a rice and cream-of-wheat pancake filled with spiced potatoes, with sambar and coconut chutney

6.45pm - and Ritesh's avial, a Kerala-style veggie curry w/ coconut
