these are all the ingredients chopped up (we used two small key limes instead of one regular one, and the cilantro actually wasn't chopped yet):

our Indian spice box - but you only need the mustard seeds (bottom right) and salt

fry the mustard seeds first, then add the chilies ...

and after a few minutes, add everything else.

no need to use a wok - we would have used our regular big pot, but Ritesh was using it already for the egg curry. Plus, of course, he loves this battered looking thing- he calls it "seasoned"... and it really isn't old at all...
